Day 1: Local Village Life & Handicrafts

A day built around how things are actually made, not just seen. It starts at a local community where traditional Khmer rice noodles are still hand-produced using methods passed down for generations, followed by a stop at a lotus silk farm to see the rare, labor-intensive process of turning lotus fibers into silk thread. The route continues to a village producing palm sugar and rice wine by hand, and closes at the local handicraft market Senteurs d’Angkor and the Old Market  for shopping and a look at Siem Reap’s craft economy up close.

Day 2: Phnom Kulen Waterfall & Phare Circus

Phnom Kulen is considered the birthplace of Angkorian civilization, and the day covers its natural highlights alongside the history: dramatic cliffs, the River of a Thousand Lingas, a large seated Buddha carved into the rock, and a waterfall for swimming. After a lunch break and return to the hotel by mid-afternoon, the evening includes the Phare Cambodian Circus  a live performance blending acrobatics, music, and storytelling  with pickup at 6:30 PM and return by 9:00 PM.

Day 3: Angkor Wat Sunrise, Bayon & Ta Prohm

The core Angkor day, starting at 5:10 AM for sunrise at Angkor Wat, with breakfast taken near the temple afterward. The route continues to Bayon, the main temple of Angkor Thom, with its famous carved stone faces, passing the Terrace of the Elephants and Baphuon on the way. Ta Prohm, the jungle-reclaimed “Tomb Raider” temple, closes the day with a return to the hotel around noon  leaving the rest of the day free.

Day 4: Water Blessing & Kompong Kleang

Our last day begins at Artisans Angkor, where traditional silk making and Khmer handicrafts are demonstrated in detail. A local pagoda stop includes a water blessing by a monk  a Buddhist ritual for good luck and safe travels. The highlight of the day is Kompong Kleang, one of the largest and most authentic floating villages on Tonlé Sap Lake, a quieter, less-visited alternative to Kompong Phluk. After lunch and a final round of shopping at Artisans Angkor, the evening closes with a traditional Apsara dance performance, pickup at 6:30 PM.
